I'm the creator of Oravo โ a passionate independent developer dedicated to making technology accessible to everyone. Oravo was born from a simple project assigned to me by my SIWES project supervisor, Engineer Yussuf in Olabisi Onabanjo University ICT Hub.
As a solo developer, I've poured countless hours into creating, testing, and refining Oravo to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and usability. While I may not have the resources of large corporations, I make up for it with dedication, attention to detail, and genuine care for my users. Please feel free to reach out with any feedback or questions!
Oravo started as a simple text-to-speech project assigned to me by my SIWES project supervisor, Engineer Yussuf. However, it quickly evolved into a personal mission: to create a tool that makes information more accessible to everyone, regardless of their reading ability or visual capacity, it is set to undergo a major update in the future to include more features and improvements.
My goal isn't just to create another app โ it's to build a tool set to genuinely improves people's daily lives. Whether you're a student, professional, someone with visual impairments, or anyone who prefers listening to reading, Oravo is here for you.
As an independent developer, I face several challenges:
Financial Constraints: Obtaining a Microsoft code-signing certificate costs $300โ500 annually, which is currently beyond my budget. This is why Windows flags Oravo during installation, despite the app being completely safe.
Infrastructure Costs: Maintaining servers, domains, and development tools requires ongoing investment. Your support helps keep Oravo alive and improving.
My Commitment: Despite these challenges, I remain committed to providing free, quality software. Every line of code is written with care, and every feature is thoroughly tested. Your trust means everything to me.
Oravo would not exist without the encouragement, support, and love of some truly remarkable people. From the bottom of my heart โ thank you.
To my wonderful family, The R.O. Osilaja Family โ your unwavering love, patience, and belief in me have been the fuel behind every line of code. You never stopped encouraging me, even on the hardest days. This project is as much yours as it is mine.
To my project supervisor โ your guidance, expertise, and critical feedback shaped Oravo into what it is today. Thank you for pushing me to think deeper, design better, and never settle for "good enough."
To every person who tested the app, reported a bug, shared a kind word, offered advice, or simply asked "how's the project going?" โ you matter more than you know. Every bit of support counts.
To every person who downloaded Oravo and trusted me with their experience โ your feedback, your patience with early bugs, and your continued use are what keep me going. This is truly built for you.
"No great thing is built alone. Thank you all โ from the bottom of my heart."
Beyond Oravo, I'm working on โ and have worked on โ a handful of other projects that share the same mission: making technology simpler, more human, and more accessible.
A simple image upload tool for making uniform digital profile pictures.
A platform independent bible study tool with integrated dramatic text-to-speech and note-taking features.
A Web based app for playing Tic Tac Toe with a friend and computer.
A platform for sharing various types of content with others locally and online.
Thank you for using Oravo and for taking the time to learn about the person behind it. Your support โ whether through using the app, sharing it with others, leaving a review, or contributing financially โ means the world to me and makes this journey truly worthwhile.
"Technology should empower everyone, not just those who can afford it."
